The Experience Behind the Message
Proven in Business.
Powerful in the Room.
Gloria Mayfield Banks brings corporate sales experience, global organizational leadership, and firsthand event insight to the stage. She began her career in technology sales at IBM, where she became a top performer, and later earned her MBA from Harvard Business School. She went on to build and lead a record-breaking global organization and train leaders on six continents.
Having worked on both sides of the stage—including as co-founder of a corporate event-planning company—Gloria understands the assignment beyond the microphone: honor the objective, collaborate with the event team, command the room, and give the audience something they can use. That breadth allows her to shape each engagement around the people in front of her, instead of forcing every audience into the same presentation.
Enterprise Strategy
At IBM, Gloria sold multi-million-dollar enterprise systems in complex, long-cycle environments. Her Harvard Business School training sharpened the strategic thinking she brings to sales, leadership, and performance today.
Performance at Scale
Gloria rose to become Mary Kay’s #1 global earner within a sales force of 3.5 million and held that distinction for six consecutive years. She built and led an international organization of more than 12,000 consultants across eight countries.
Authority Earned
Her leadership has been documented in a Harvard Business School case study; her authority was forged through lived experience. Gloria navigated dyslexia, survived domestic violence, and rebuilt as a single mother after divorce. She shares those experiences with candor, humor, and perspective.
Built for the Event
Gloria’s event-planning experience gives her an operator’s respect for preparation, production, customization, and the working partnership that makes a high-stakes engagement successful.
